ALLA VITA 

If you love restaurants with a great deal of ambiance or a trendy spots to grab a drink with your friends, Alla Vita will not disappoint. The wait for available weekend reservations will speak for itself. This cozy spot is located in the West Loop and perfect for an intimate meeting or a large group. The menu is limited so you will not be overwhelmed with options.

A few weeks back, we dined to celebrate our 1K followers! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the hanging lights, greenery and "lasagna like" ceiling.  We started with drinks at the bar which was not over crowded or too loud. Dinner was held at a quite table in the back corner. We shared the burrata (with our favorite...beets), roasted octopus, and the kale Caesar salad. All portions were perfect to split amongst two couples dining together.

We ordered the beef shank tagliatelle, rigatoni with vodka but the star of the meal was defiantly the cacio e pepe ricotta dumplings. We have never had anything like them! These dumplings were light and filled with a burst of flavor! The bowl was gone within minutes. Other additions to the meal were the lasagna and the crispy potatoes. We concluded dinner with rich chocolate desert and a nightcap of expresso martinis!
