Choo Choo! All aboard to The Junction Diner - The Train Restaurant! This cute diner located on Madison Street in downtown Forest Park is fun for kids, has incredible service, is comfortable for parents and offers delicious food for everyone. You can't have a train themed restaurant without a train and The Junction Diner does not disappoint. Not only does a train deliver food for diners they also have a large interactive model train table, games and a photobooth. All these activities and interactive experiences were great for entertaining our kids before the food arrived.

 

Opened Tuesday through Sunday starting at 11am it's a great spot for lunch or dinner. Our pro-tip is to go when they open to get a good spot at the counter where the train runs. The restaurant filled up quickly after noon, but before then we had the place to ourselves! The Junction Diner has extra tall high chairs so kids can enjoy the train as it delivers food for customers. We can't say enough nice things about the service and staff. The best part is we received an email after our visit with a $5 discount on our next visit.

 

We anticipated mediocre food from a "kid" restaurant, but were pleasantly surprised with the menu selection, the food was delicious and they even offer an assortment of seasonal beers and wines. The homemade soup was so good we even ordered extra to go. If you're looking for a great spot to take kids or train enthusiasts look no further! They even have a party room if you're looking to book an event.
