The Best Travel Stroller

Updated: May 10, 2023

If you've been following along you know my family and I recently traveled to Disney World for Sonny's first trip! One of the best tips I shared was to bring a good stroller. A quality, compact stroller is a necessity when doing Disney with littles. Our friends and Disney travel planner stressed the importance of having a stroller that could navigate multiple terrains and the dreaded main street tracks. She has personally rented a stroller after her UppaBaby umbrella stroller failed her. My anxiety kicked in when she said an UppaBaby didn't make the grade! Sure it wasn't the Cruz or Vista, but still had me wondering what stroller we should take or if we should just rent one. There was NO WAY I was bringing my Vista to Disney even though it would seamlessly glide through anything anywhere. My other option was a 16 year old hand me down Mclaren umbrella stroller that did have a convenient back strap, but doesn't have the best maneuverability. Thankfully we found the BEST travel stroller before our trip; The Bombi Gear Bebee Lightweight Stroller!

This stroller is perfectly lightweight and compact enough to replace a traditional umbrella stroller, yet sturdy and comfortable enough to use everyday! The Bebee is the best of both worlds; full size comforts with compact convenience. In addition, it has one of the fastest folds (single handed too) you've ever seen. With a click of a button the Bebee folded and unfolded effortlessly. Unlike most umbrella or travel strollers the back has an infinite recline and adjustable foot rest making it ideal for naps. Sonny hasn't napped in his stroller since he was an infant and he napped in the Bebee almost daily! The XXL canopy with zip out extension gives littles the extra sun protection they need when traveling in warmer climates and the fabric protects against UV-A and UV-B rays. The magnetic canopy peek window makes it easy to check on your kiddo as you stroll along too. The 5 point harness has a quick release button and swing away bumper bar for easy accessibility in and out.

The feature we love most about the Bebee after maneuverability and lightweight, compact design is the ample storage. This stroller has a large storage basket which is rare for compact stroller designs and even has a hidden pocket. There is a child storage pocket that we used for Sonny's water bottle and could easily hold some toys or snacks. The Bebee even has a parent storage pocket on the back which conveniently fit my phone, hand sanitizer and a package of wipes with extra room to spare. This replaced the need for an additional stroller organizer on the handlebars.

The Bombi company is dedicated to saving the planet so their products and strollers are eco friendly. Each Bebee and travel bag saves 56 single use bottles from ending up in landfills because they use fabric made from at least 50% recycled bottles and they donate 1% of sales to 1% for the Planet. They also use premium vegan leather details for their designs. Don't fret over messes and spills because the fabric wipes clean easily! A huge bonus is the Bombi Bebee has several accessories you can purchase in addition like a car seat adapter straps, snack tray, weather pack, additional cup holder, rain cover, and mosquito net. Even though they have accessories to purchase the stroller includes a cup holder and travel bag! Choose from 6 color options that fit your style best. Obviously I chose midnight black, but the other colors are beautiful and will make your stroller stand out in a crowd (another big bonus in Disney). We love the sleek design and details that you typically don't find on travel or umbrella strollers.

When I registered for my baby shower I felt pressure to purchase multiple strollers. I'm so happy I waited to see what our needs really were before getting a second one. I see the value and convenience of the Doona, but at the price point (starting at $550) I don't believe it is worth the purchase since it has a short lifespan and it lacks as a stroller in my opinion. And even though I still highly recommend the UppaBaby Vista V2 (read the blog review here) or Mockingbird (read the blog review here) as an everyday stroller from infancy since they both have bassinets and the capability to convert to a double stroller as Sonny is getting older we will be using the Bombi Bebee more. I keep my (heavy and bulky) UppaBaby at home for local strolls now and the Bebee stays in my car for our on the go adventures. Aside for being more convenient to open and close it also saves a ton of trunk space in comparison. We can't wait to use our Bombi at the zoo, street festivals, museums, shopping, and at amusement parks. I will NEVER travel with our UppaBaby again. When we moved to Florida for 8 weeks we brought our Vista and it just isn't convenient for traveling. It also took a bad beating from the airport baggage handlers. Traveling with the Bombi Bebee was so much more convenient and the travel bag kept it safe during transport. For $200 you can't beat the price and can justify an additional stroller purchase!

We saw so many people struggle with maneuvering and collapsing their strollers on our vacation while our Bebee was incredible. Most park transportation in Disney like the buses and boats require the stroller to be collapsed and the everyday stroller, like UppaBaby or Mockingbird stroller aren't ideal. Our Bebee rose the ultimate challenge; Disney World, but we see why this stroller would be perfect for any travel destination. We highly recommend you check out Bombi Gear for your next traveling adventure. If you don't trust us go read the hundreds of positive five star reviews or test stroll them stress free with free shipping and free 30 day returns to all US and Canadian customers. Traveling with kids is challenging enough. Don't let your stroller complicate it more!
